TELSA School Adoption Program – Call for Applications

In 2022 and 2023, TELSA launched an initiative to adopt select Zilla Parishad (ZP) high schools in rural areas of the Telugu states. As part of an earlier effort, a school in Guntur district was adopted, where a range of improvements were carried out — including installation of a solar power plant, a Water Purification system for clean drinking water, sanitation facilities with water supply, building repairs, a library, a Wi-Fi hub, and a Spoken English Centre. Later this program was extended to a few more eligible schools in Palnad district.

Going forward, the same approach will guide adoptions at new schools. The intent is to take up works identified by the school staff as essential and most beneficial to students, and to provide — to the extent possible — the tools, facilities, and infrastructure needed to spark and sustain students’ interest in learning and help them thrive academically.

Zilla Parishad high schools in both Telugu states with an enrollment of at least 400 students and adequate building infrastructure are invited to apply. Eligible schools may send us the application below, duly filled out with complete information.
